Brand Designer, based on planet Earth – For now.

Hey, I’m Alex 👋🏻

Creativity has always been at the core of what I do. As a kid, I was obsessed with how things were put together — whether it was building perfectly symmetrical structures, experimenting with paper engineering, or spending far too much time making stop-motion animations (on PowerPoint, of all things). That fascination with form, function and storytelling naturally led me into design.

Over the years, that curiosity evolved into a full-fledged career. I earned a degree in design, worked my way up to senior and lead designer roles, and eventually founded Symbr, my own brand design studio. Now I specialise in crafting bold, strategic visual identities for commercial B2C brands, helping them establish or refresh their presence in a way that feels authentic and impactful.

My work isn’t just about making things look good — it’s about creating branding that actually means something. I take a company’s mission, values and story, and turn it into a visual identity that connects with the right people. I’ve worked with brands across industries like Food & Beverage, Health & Wellness, Music, E-sports, Tech and Energy, helping them develop branding that leaves a lasting impression.

Collaboration is at the heart of my process. Some clients love to be involved, others prefer to let me take the reins. Either way, I guide them through every step to ensure the final result is distinctive, aligned with their brand and built to resonate.

Outside of design, I’m always looking for new ways to challenge my perspective — literally. Photography is a passion that keeps me present in the moment and constantly striving to improve. Music has also played a huge role in my life. I spent years producing for TV, radio and live shows before fully shifting my focus to design. And while I don’t spend as much time in the studio these days, I still find ways to weave creativity and lateral thinking into everything I do.

I also have a deep love for space, a slight obsession with Godzilla, and an unshakable belief that tea and cake make everything better.

Social butterfly snail.

I have as much social presence as a chameleon in a bag of Skittles, but I appreciate the interaction all the same.
